Do your house plants seem a little dull? Maybe they’re just lounging around being lazy producing absolutely no glitz or sparkle. Well that’s not their fault, they are only plants after all and sometimes it takes a little more than water and sunshine to make a girl feel pretty.

But do not fear! A Marble “plant bling” (I’m kicking myself for stooping so low as to use the word “bling”) tutorial is here!!!

And for those of you not into the whole DIY thing you can enter to win your very own 3 piece set by leaving a comment on this page (scroll down for details), and if you don’t like those odds head on over to my Etsy shop and buy some pre-made plant flair all of your own! for only $8 shipped!

This is what you’ll need!

Ruler

Copper Wire (I use 16 gauge but anything small will work)

Marbles (One marble per stake)

Wire Cutters (or funky scissors you don’t care about denting)

Needle Nose Pliers (I like the round ones)

~The Giveaway Entry Method is at the bottom of this post~

My daughter SweetPea was born with a full head of hair, so much hair in fact that it entered the world a good 30 minutes before the rest of her. Since day one it’s been beautiful, dark and curly.

But a few months after she was born when the squirming and the sweating really kicked in, so did the tangled rats nest on the back of her head. I tried combing it after washing and brushing it when it was dry but nothing worked and everything just made it frizzier and frizzier until I gave up for a few days and she grew the beginnings of little baby dread locks.

I had to find a solution (preferable an organic one). I scoured the internet for a few days here and there and finally found a product I really wanted to try. It was Nature’s Baby Organics Lavender and Chamomile Conditioner made with more than 70% Organic Ingredients, Hypoalergenic, Cruelty Free and Vegan which are some of the most important things to me when it comes to the products I put on my baby’s skin. I would like to start this weekend off with a big thank you to Earth Mama Angel Baby for so graciously supplying me with a bottle of Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash and being so kind as to include an extra bottle for me to giveaway to one lucky reader!

I would also like to thank everyone who entered in and helped to promote my giveaway with a special thanks to Linda over at Contest Girl and Blog Giveaways for helping get the word out!

After years of longing I finally splurged and bought myself a Nikon D5100 and I am LOVING it! Photography has always been one of my passions and I’m so excited to pursue it further with such a fancy new camera. (Note the Sunflower picture above)

This week I made Pumpkin Scones from a recipe I found over at Pure and Yummy and they turned out amazing! When I think of scones I think of a dry flavorless biscuits with a couple of freeze dried blueberries on top, but in the holiday spirit and with an oversupply of canned pumpkin I tried this recipe and was shocked at how incredibly moist and delectable these little guys turned out. I had no idea a scone could be so savory and delicious; This recipe is a MUST for your Autumn cooking arsenal or honestly for any time of the year.

And Finally I would like to Congratulate Shirley F. on Winning the Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash Giveaway!( You should have received an email from me already)

Look for a Nature’s Baby Organics Giveaway Coming Soon!

Have a wonderful Weekend Everybody!

“Woosh woosh” the soft milky bubbles ofAngel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash jet foamy into my hand and as I breath their lustrous scent in I am instantly transported to the sprawling acres of an orange grove in the peak of Spring bloom dancing delicately with the fragrant scent of vanilla bean spilling forth from a bowl of cool white ice cream on a hot summer day.

I was overwhelmed by the delicious scent of Earth Mama Angel Baby‘s  Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash; it was absolutely intoxicating but that wasn’t enough, I needed more out of my baby soap than just a delicious smelling baby. So I started off by reading the bottle and was so incredible pleased with what I found;

Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash is;

Toxin Free

USDA Certified Made With Organic Ingredients

Not Tested on Animals

Not Made From Animals

Artificial Preservatives Free

Artificial Fragrance Free

Everything stood up to my high baby care standards and I felt completely at ease testing out their product on my baby’s precious skin.

So now that I feel comfortable lathering up my little SweetPea let me tell you about my experience.

First things first The Bottle is wonderful! The foaming pump makes it super easy to use one handed and dispenses just enough soap to lather up each part of your baby, and by producing the product as a foam and not a liquid or gel it’s much more efficient and makes for a lot more baths per bottle. I used three pumps of soap to wash my entire 20lb seven month old and Earth Mama Angel Baby advertises more than 300 pumps in a 5.3 fl. oz. bottle which leaves me with at least 100 baths per bottle!

The Foam is thick, bubbly and cuts out the extra step of having to create your own lather and risk potentially taking your hand away from your squirmy wet baby. It works into hair and skin wonderfully and gently washes every inch of your baby leaving a squeaky clean feeling when rinsed away. (But it is important to remember thatAngel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash is not a tear free formula so you need to be extra careful around baby’s eyes.)

My daughter has pretty long hair for her age and it tends to tangle in the back from lying down and sweating. The Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash removed all the sweat and grim from her locks flawlessly, but I did have to pair it with a conditioner to get the tangles out which is true of all the baby shampoos I have tried.

All in all I pulled my baby out of the bath happy and smelling of orange cream ice pops and couldn’t help but nuzzle her neck and breathe that blissful clean baby smell in.

Earth Mama Angel Baby was kind enough to supply me with a complimentary bottle of Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash to test and review here on India’s Roses and their kindness has continued with another 5.3 fl. oz bottle of Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash for me to GIVEAWAY to one of you!
