This is a simple spider web I made using the “paper snow flake” theory with a little bit of a twist. All you need is;
Start with your piece of paper on a hard surface.
Fold the bottom side (Side A) to the right side (Side B) creasing the paper at the bottom right corner (creating Fold C)
Fold, the left edge (Fold C) to the right side (Sides A and B) creasing the paper at the bottom right corner (creating Fold D).
Fold the left edge (Fold D) to the right side (Sides A, B and Fold C) creasing the paper at the bottom right corner so that Side A, Side B, Fold C, and Fold D all line up on top of each other.
Hold your folded paper up to the light and look for the silhouetted line of the edge farthest from the top.
Cut along the line you just found, and save the paper scrap for later.
Draw a curved line from the High point at the top of your paper to the Low Point about 3/4 of an inch from your Cut Line.
Cut along the line you just drew.
Draw a rough Guide Line along the right side of your paper about an 1/8 of an inch from the edge, Then draw curved lines about a 1/4 inch apart starting at the left side of your paper and ending at your Guide Line, and following the original curve of your Cut Line.
Cut along the curves you just drew, but do not cut on Guide Line.
Cut along all curve lines creating 1/4 inch paper flaps.
Cut out every other paper flap starting with the second from the top.
Unfold your Spider Web and Carefully smooth the folds.
On the Paper Scrap you saved draw a little Spider.
Cut around your little Spider, and tape him to your web.
Now you’re ready to hang it up!
